Grassroots contest concludes with a record number of events.
Georgetown, TX, September 30th, 2016 – After four months of competition, the Time to Ride Challenge concludes today, September 30th. Nationwide, stables, clubs and businesses (“hosts”) in the grassroots contest have been working hard to win their share of $100,000 cash and prizes by introducing new people to horses. A record number of 1,004 events were held throughout the competition!
As soon as hosts have submitted their last reports by the deadline of October 10th, they can sit back and relax – or hold their breath – as final results are tallied. The winners across three divisions; small, medium, and large, will be announced in late October. Ten winners in each division will take home cash, with champions earning $10,000 each. New in 2016, hosts who reach at least 100 newcomers will automatically win $100 cash. The Challenge also awards cash to the top written entries in its Best Practices Contest, which rewards hosts for innovative marketing and event strategies that successfully engage newcomers with horses.
The 2016 Time to Ride Challenge, in its third year, has 216 active hosts across the nation that have already introduced nearly 25,000 individuals to horses. The record number of events is evidence of this year’s especially engaged and active group of hosts. These first-time horse experiences will help hosts convert leads to lifetime equine enthusiasts and participants in the horse industry. The major benefit to Challenge hosts is the long-term effects of growing their own businesses and organizations.
