Nationwide, stables, clubs and businesses (“hosts”) in the grassroots contest have been working hard to win their share of $100,000 cash and prizes by introducing new people to horses. Washington, D.C., July 14th, 2016 – People across the country are invited to take part in National Meet-A-Horse Day on July 23rd, at any Time to Ride Challenge Host location. Families will be welcomed into stables, camps, clubs and organizations competing in the Time to Ride Challenge, in hope of creating new riders and lifelong equestrians. This is the third year National Meet-A-Horse Day will be celebrated and participating equine businesses are more excited than ever to share their unique, horse-centered events.
Washington, D.C., July 28th, 2016 – Time to Ride is proud to announce that participating hosts have scheduled a record number of events in the 2016 Challenge! The Time to Ride Challenge is a nationwide grassroots contest in which stables, clubs, and businesses across the country host events designed to introduce new people to horses with the goals of growing their businesses and creating new lifelong equestrians. The Challenge began June 1st and runs 120 days, ending on September 30th. In 2015 hosts scheduled a total of 644 events, surpassing 2014’s events by over 100. The 2016 Challenge currently has 755 events scheduled, already shattering last year’s record. With two months left in the Challenge, that number is sure to continue to grow.
Washington, D.C., Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 – Today the 2016 Time to Ride Challenge, a nationwide grassroots contest to introduce new people to horses, begins for hundreds of competing stables, clubs, and other horse businesses. Event hosts will compete through September 30th by hosting fun, beginner-friendly horse events designed to safely introduce horse-interested families to equine activities and encourage them to become regularly involved in riding. Hosts who introduce the greatest number of “newcomers,” those who have not been regularly involved in horse activities for the past three years, to horses will win up to $10,000 cash and related prizes in three divisions – small, medium, and large.
The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and Time to Ride have begun outlining plans to strengthen the current Marketing Alliance between the two organizations. In preparation for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) has partnered with First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative to increase opportunities for physical activity among the nation’s youth. By challenging the National Governing Bodies of Olympic and Paralympic sports to bring new engagements to their respective sports, the USEF is pleased to partner with Time to Ride to bring 25,000 new youth engagements to equestrian sports in 2016 through the Time to Ride Challenge.
May 27, 2016, Georgetown, Texas – Several horse industry breed and discipline organizations have joined forces with the 2016 Time to Ride Challenge to introduce new horse enthusiasts to riding.
