Time to Ride Celebrates National #MeetAHorse Day Success!

Georgetown, TX, July 26, 2017 – On Saturday, July 22nd, Time to Ride, an initiative of the American Horse Council Marketing Alliance, hosted the third annual National Meet a Horse Day. Calling to action participants in the Time to Ride Challenge and other horse professionals and organizations across the United States, National Meet a Horse Day is all about: meeting horses! Beginner-friendly events providing new enthusiasts with the opportunity to interact with a horse for the first time took place across the United States. Time to Ride’s largest program, the Challenge, is a nationwide contest awarding stables, clubs, and businesses (hosts) throughout the United States with their share of $100,00 in cash and prizes.

The Pledge to Take a Friend Riding Kicks Off July 22nd

June 30, 2017, Georgetown, Texas – The Pledge to Take a Friend Riding is the newest addition to the Time to Ride initiative. Introduced in 2016, the Pledge is a sweepstakes incentive aimed at encouraging equestrians everywhere to introduce their non-horse riding friends and family to take part in a horse-related activity. The goal of the Pledge is to encourage the equine community to become more welcoming and inclusive of newcomers. This year, the Pledge will begin on July 22nd and will be open through September 16th. Anyone may enter by simply taking the pledge to take a friend riding.*

Time to Ride Challenge Association Program (CAP) More Than Doubles in Size

April 19, 2017, Georgetown, Texas – The 2017 Time to Ride Challenge is shaping up to be the best Challenge yet, due in part to the overwhelming response of industry breed and discipline organizations, and state horse councils joining forces with the contest. The Challenge will award $100,000 in cash and prizes to horse professionals who can generate the most “newcomer” interactions with horses, and bring them back for a follow-up experience to encourage further participation. A plethora of breed, discipline, and professional organizations have partnered with Time to Ride to substantially grow awards available to Challenge Hosts.

Equine Businesses Welcomed to Register for the 2017 Time to Ride Challenge

Georgetown, TX, March 10, 2017 – Time to Ride invites stables, clubs and all horse businesses nationwide to register now for the 2017 Time to Ride Challenge, a grassroots competition offering $100,000 in cash and prizes! In its fourth year of competition, the Challenge is the only industry-wide effort specifically designed to encourage entry-level participation in riding and other horse activities. Participating horse professionals will work to create engaging outreach events in Phase I, May 1st through August 31st, that connect with the general public and introduce families to the joy of horses. Then in Phase II, which occurs simultaneously and continues through September 30th, they will help these new horse enthusiasts get involved regularly through riding lessons or other ongoing horse experiences. The stables, clubs and businesses which introduce and convert the greatest number of newcomers will win their share of $100,000 cash and prizes across size-based divisions.
